Wayne Albert Ribble

Ribble, Wayne Albert Age 89, formerly of San Diego, California and Chicago, Illinois passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Rio Rancho, NM. Mr. Ribble was born on January 9, 1922 to William Wayne and Mildred (Rhein) Ribble of Wagner, South Dakota. He attended the South Dakota School of Mines where he studied Electrical Engineering. As a member of the United States Navy he served from the first gun to the last of World War II. He married his wife, Gladys Robbins, on October 8, 1943 in San Diego, California. Together they raised three children. Mr. Ribble was employed by the Sears Roebuck Company as a Marketing Executive. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and sports. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He, also enjoyed playing poker with his friends at the Meadowlark Senior Center. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Gladys Ribble; children, Sandra Lee Harsha and her husband, David, of Des Moines, Iowa, Dan A. Ribble and his wife, Lynn, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Kevin Michael Ribble of Dallas, Texas; and grandchildren, David, Michael, Leah and Sean.
