Whitney Ann Gentry Maurer

June 16, 1988 — July 27, 2010

Whitney Ann Gentry Maurer, 22, of Farmington passed away due to complications after giving birth to her sweet son Henry Darin Maurer on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at San Juan Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Whitney was born June 16, 1988 in Farmington, daughter of Richelle and David Gentry . Whitney was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Farmington 5th Ward. Whitney, you were a precious gift from God above, so much beauty, compassion and love. You touched countless hearts; as a wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister and as a nurse in so many ways, your unending smile always brightening our days. You protected and loved your brother Austin from beginning to end, family came first, before any friend. On August 16th 2008, your prayers were answered taking Tony as your lifelong mate. Your love for each other was one to behold, never faltering, as priceless as gold. You planned your perfect family and thought it all through, then Henry came to make it three, not just two. You never thought anyone could love someone so much, but Henry taught you love could be such. You enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, boating and camping. You especially enjoyed doing these things with Tony and family. But God chose to call you home, you didn't want to go and leave your family alone. You loved us so much, you held on tight, till you could no longer possibly fight. So you gave your hand to God and drifted away, knowing that with our love we will be together again some day. All who knew you will greatly miss you Whitney. Whitney is survived by the love of her life, Tony Maurer; her beautiful baby boy Henry Darin Maurer; her parents Richelle and David Gentry ;her brother Austin Gentry; her father and mother-in-law Terry and Anna Maurer; grandparents Dusty and Rita Mecham; Joann and Dale Gentry and T.J. and Maryjane Griego; brother-in-law Tyler Maurer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, hospital colleagues and many dear friends.
