William Wallace Fisher III, 84, passed away May 19, 2025 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He was born October 3, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to William Wallace Fisher III and Mary Elizabeth Szakal Fisher. He was a graduate of Father Judge High School, Philadelphia, PA, class of 1958. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph University in Main Line, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. William enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served our country for four years. He married the love of his life, Joyce Susan Russell in 1972. He retired as a Senior Sales Recruiter in Waltham, MA after 33 years. He was the recipient of 16 awards as the Top Recruiter, New England. He was also the recipient of 5 Presidential Awards. William was a member of Church of the Incarnation and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Churches, where he participated in the RCIA, Eucharist Minister, CCD (25 years), Sacristan and Altar Server, and Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus.. He actively supported the Little Sisters of the Poor, EWTN and St. Jude for Children Organization.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Elizabeth Szakal Fisher; his father, William Wallace Fisher II.
William is survived by his sister, Antoinette Rose Fisher of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Services will begin with Mass at Church of the Incarnation Chapel, 2309 Monterrey Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, NM, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, 10:45 AM. Inurnment will take place in the Rose Garden at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 following Mass at 11:45 AM.
