William Allen Stufft

November 21, 1927 — January 18, 2022

William “Al” Allen Stufft, age 94, passed away January 18, 2022, with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born on November 21, 1927, to Foster and Ruby Stufft in Ainsworth, NE.

William was a proud veteran of the US Air Force with the Strategic Air Command; he was awarded the Korean SV Medal with one Bronze Star and the United Nations SV Medal. He retired as a mechanist from General Electric Aircraft Engine Group after 21 years. He was a member of the IAM Union for 21 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; he also enjoyed bowling. William was a member of American Legion #49.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Jordan L. Gilcrease; and mother-in-law, Alva E. Gilcrease; brothers: James Stufft, Lester Stufft, and Harold Stufft; sisters, Dorothy Muenchau, Vera Goodrich, and Evelyn Moody.

William is survived by his: wife Roberta of 70 years; sons, Allen Lee (Barbara), and Richard; daughter, Kathy Ingram (Scott); brother, Francis (Butch); six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Burial will take place at a later date at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in his memory to the Wounded Warriors Project.
