Willie Mae Mitchell passed peacefully into the Loving Arms of our Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 30, 2021.  She was born May 7, 1930 in Rusk, Texas to Earnest Session, Sr. and Pearlene Session.

She married Charles E. Mitchell on December 31, 1952 in Carlsbad New Mexico and they were blessed with four boys.  She was a great homemaker and awesome cook, gardener and one of her greatest loves besides people was fishing and she considered herself the best fisherman.  She was a department leader at Dillard’s Department Store where she worked many years until her retirement.  She walked with Christ and allowed Him to lead the way her entire life.  She was a dedicated and faithful member of the Arno Street Church of Christ and continued for years at the Avalon Street Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Pearlene Session, Husband Dr. Charles E. Mitchell, sister Jessie Mae Hilliard, sister Bessie Mae Mosley, sister Connie Session, brothers Earnest Session, Lee Session, Weldon Session, Irvin Session, Richard Session and Gary Session.

She lovingly leaves behind children Charles E. Mitchell Jr. (Lena), Gary W. Mitchell (Glenda), Michael L. Mitchell (Raelyn), Phillip C. Mitchell.

Grandchildren:  Charlene, Shamon, Kyara, Brooklyn, Tiaunna, Janeshia, Tanasia, Emilia, Alina, Keyana, Chelsea, and Daniesha

Great-grandchildren: Daijon, Madison, Davyon, Nashia, Kaley, Kensley, Brandon, Kaleena, Luca, Armanie, Daniel.

Great-great-grandchild: Demani Mahala and numerous nieces, nephews and special lifelong friends.
