Wilma Joy"" Frantz

Wilma "Joy" Frantz, 72, went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 29, 2010. She was born on July 27, 1937 in Richmond, Michigan. She married the love of her life, Bruce Washington Frantz Sr. on May 16, 1959. They moved to New Mexico in the mid 1970's where they raised 5 wonderful children. Joy loved sewing, bowling, playing video games, people watching, and much more. Although, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Joy was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Washington Frantz, Sr. in 1988. She is survived by her son, Bruce W. Frantz, Jr. and wife Brandy of Farmington, daughter Michelle Gamblin and husband David of Farmington, daughter Rebecca Long and husband Ronald of Aztec, daughter Cassandra Hood and husband Mike of La Plata, and son Samuel Frantz and wife Jennie of Farmington, and 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held May 3, 2010 at Brewer Lee & Larkin 103 E. Ute St. Farmington, NM from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., Farmington with Pastor John Schrock officiating. Joy will then be laid to rest next to her husband Bruce at Flora Vista Community Cemetery in Flora Vista. Pallbearers are Bruce Frantz, Brandon Frantz, Brian Frantz, Bruce Frantz III, Brent Frantz, Ron Long, Mike Hood, David Gamblin, Joshua Gamblin and Daniel Kean. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is her grandson Samuel Frantz, Jr. in honor of his father Sergeant Samuel Franz, Sr. who is serviing in the military in Afghanistan.
