Zane Christian Alexander, born October 19, 1979, departed his earthly bounds at the age of 43 years, on January 12, 2023. Zane was known and loved by many creatures, including humans, dogs, and many other species.
Zane is survived by his mother and father, Pamela and Paul Alexander, his brothers, Zachary Alexander and Brian Alexander, his sisters, Michelle Alexander, and Cheryl Moll, and his two beautiful, amazing, and wonderful children, Owen Alexander and Liam Alexander, and their mother, Whitney Galindo, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, other relatives and good friends, whose lives he touched in many ways.
Zane loved cooking. He loved preparing food for others. He loved music of all kinds. He loved cars and sound equipment. He played AYSO soccer, Little League Baseball, studied and practiced Karate, and willingly played almost any sport, especially video games. He truly believed that his spirit animal was the crow. He also had a special fondness for wolves.
In life, we loved him dearly. In death, we love him still. He holds a special place in our hearts that no one else could ever fill. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends were welcomed to attend a memorial service for Zane and the internment of his ashes, which was held at the Sandia Memory Gardens 9300 San Pedro N.E. in Albuquerque on Valentine’s Day (as a hopeless romantic, perhaps his favorite day of the year), February 14, 2023, at noon.
A celebration of his life was held afterwards at his home, with food provided. The address was furnished to those attending the service or upon request, and for those who were unable to attend the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to any charitable organization which feeds the hungry or otherwise provides for the welfare of those in need of assistance with their basic needs. Zane’s spirit would appreciate this more than anything.
