Annie M. Bonnell

December 29, 1939 — September 6, 2021

ANNIE M. BONNELL, of Santa Fe, Our beautiful and beloved mother,  entered the arms of her Savior on Monday, September 6, 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, family, church family (PLAM), and friends in her daughter Sheryl’s home in Rio Rancho, NM. Annie loved the Lord with all her heart and shared her faith openly. She embodied a calling of a servant of God, a true worshiper and Proverbs 31 woman. Annie had a way of ministering the Love of God to everyone she met. She was strong, courageous, funny, endearing, and demonstrated her love for God in various ways. She was able to light up a room. Annie will be missed dearly, leaving us with “many” cherished memories, love, joy and laughter. She has left a legacy. 

Annie was born in Santa Fe, NM and is the third eldest of eleven children.  Annie is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Helen Martinez, her two daughters, Tina H. Vigil, Allana M. Bonnell, Sisters Olivia Montoya and Alicia Johnson. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Ray Bonnell (Joyce), Sheryl Roy,  Elizabeth Howieson (Donald), Daniel Sanchez (Laura & Lucas), Allen Roy (Charity, Payton, Katarina, & Anastasia), Sarah Montaño (Cameron), Jenica Lopez (Louie & Olivia), Rayanna Bonnell, Marissa Struck-Ecksteen (Josh), Isaiah Struck (Sharon), Izabella  & Gracie Struck, William, Shawn, & Yuriah Howieson, Rebekah Chacon (Menny), Lee (Eric), Leah, and Rachael Chacon, Jeremiah & Joshua Vigil; her siblings Luis Martinez (Rose), Cecilia Jaramillo (Fred), Irene Martinez, Carmen Guzman (Joaquin), Lucy Martinez, Mary Campos, Michelle Romero, Paul Martinez, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends.

For the past three years, Annie attended Promise Land Apostolic Ministries of Rio Rancho, where she worshiped the Lord and became part of an amazing church family who loved her dearly. PLAM Family, Apostle Idella Drummond, Bishop Brian & Prophetess Jennifer Bratcher (Brooke, Kiera, & Zachery), Pastor Lawrence & First Lady Michelle Dean (Milena, Joseph & Amorae), Wendy Lavata’i-Sagato (Makei & Makeilah), Cesar & Erica Rodriguez (Destiny, Serenity, & Elias), Curtis & Sophia Moreland (Sabrina), Mayleene Eldridge (Zackoria), Evan Shoats-Weaks, Stephanie Cordova (Isaiah & Sophia), Stephanie Lovato (Rocco, Amer’ah, & Poema), Derek O’Neill, Flora (Nana) Martinez, Selena Cordova. 

PLEASE NOTE: A Celebration of Life service will be held at Promise Land Apostolic Ministries on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM | 909 36th Pl Suite D, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 | Reception to follow. Location TBD.
