Brenda Lee Teller-Waters

Brenda Lee (Burgess) Teller-Waters, 62, departed her loving family on February 13, 2022. Brenda was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on July 16th, 1959 to Clifford and Beverly Burgess. She spent the beginning part of her life in Iowa and moved to Alamogordo, NM where she graduated in 1977 from Alamogordo High School.

       Brenda triumphed over many medical challenges in her life to include diabetes and kidney failure. She was a double transplant recipient and supported organ donation through OTAP of NM. She always looked at the positives in life, even through her health struggles.

       Brenda worked at Raylee Homes for over 30 years and was commonly referred to as the office mom. Brenda had a heart of gold and could always light up someone’s day. She was talented in so many ways. She was a seamstress, a square dancer and a line dancer!

       She is survived by her children, James and Jennifer Teller of Culpeper, VA and Melissa and Jon Pitts of Rio Rancho, NM, her stepdaughter Erika and Dwayne Grenko of Portales, NM, and her 8 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Wanda Lokey. Brenda was also survived by her mother, Beverly Burgess. Sadly, Beverly passed away a few short months after Brenda passed.

       Brenda is proceeded in death by her dad, Clifford, and her second husband Ron Waters.

 A celebration of life will be held at the Pitts family residence located at 3929 Las Colinas Ave, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 on what would have been Brenda’s 63rd birthday at 2:00 PM.
