Carl Lawrence Manfredi

Beloved husband and father, Carl Lawrence Manfredi, 76, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2021, with his family by his side.

Born June 1, 1944, Carl’s life was one that touched the lives of many. He and his older brother Bill (Shirley) grew up in various parts of New Mexico, chasing his cousins around and learning from his hardworking parents: his father, Frank, a WWII veteran and Purchasing Agent at UNM; and his mother, Edith, a public school teacher who got her master’s degree at UNM. On good days, he always said it was “just like Sundays on the farm.”

Carl grew up loving rock and roll and playing the keyboard. His talent took him all over the country. He was instrumental in forming the early music scene in Albuquerque in the 60s, playing in several bands including the Music Machine under the stage name Holly McKinley. He could sit down and play “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals by ear on the piano at any given moment.

Carl had an eye for photography, and eventually married his beautiful wife and the subject of all his art, Patti. They enjoyed 41 years of marriage together: traveling all over the world, laughing, starting an advertising agency, and raising their 3 children. Whether he was on the fairway practicing his swing or earning a spot in the President’s Club at CarMax, Carl was always one phone call away.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Patti Manfredi, and his three children, Damon Manfredi (Kirby), Frank Manfredi, and Lillian Manfredi. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Edith Manfredi.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Daniels Family Mortuary on Wyoming. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
