Carolyn Lesperance

Carolyn Jean (Long) Lesperance, 64, was called home on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Born to Bart Denver Long and Gertrude (Gonzales) Long on May 18th, 1956 in Socorro, New Mexico, she was the youngest of five girls. Throughout her lifetime, she served many roles; a daughter, sister, wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and an excellent nurse. Her nursing career spanned over 30 years, offering quality care to her community. She loved playing softball, nursing, working in her yard, and fishing. On July 17, 1982 she married the love of her life, Bobby Lee Lesperance, and together they spent 49 glorious years. During that time, they had three beautiful girls: “the J’s”. Carolyn is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bobby; her parents; and her sister, Doris Ann Long. She is survived by her adoring daughters; Bobbi Jo Lesperance, Jacalyn Jean Lesperance, Andrea Jessica Lesperance, and Sherry Lynn Lesperance. She is also survived by her sisters; Lorraine (Long) Alires and spouse Tom, Katherine Ann (Long) Chavez and spouse Marty (deceased), Diana Mae (Long) Fisher and spouse Jeff; her aunt, Linda Griego; as well as family members; Geneva Christine (Archuleta) Escarsega and Andrea Rose Jojola. Carolyn leaves behind grandchildren; Fabian Pacheco, Katrina Melendrez, Mercedes Melendrez, Candice Montoya, and Miguel Escarsega; seven great-grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Carolyn showed endless love and touched many people within her lifetime. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who’s lives she touched forever. Due to current restrictions, a celebration of life will be held and announced at a later date.
