Curtis Emmanuel Manuelito

After a brave battle with a rare lung disease our Lord called our son, brother, father and uncle.  Curtis Emmanuel Manuelito home on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the VA hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Born September 25, 1968 in Crownpoint N.M. Curtis was known to bring laughter, happiness and joy to all those who knew him, and sometimes a little bit of trouble.

Sergeant Curtis Manuelito joined the Army in 1987 to serve his country. In 2002 Curtis learned that his little sister Manuela would be deploying to Iraq so Curtis quickly joined the Reserves and deployed to Iraq. Throughout his military service, he participated in the following Campaigns, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom earning the rank of Sergeant/E5. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and a numerous number of other Medals. Throughout his life Curtis worked as an EMT for the Canoncito Clinic and as a Supply Technician for the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. On his off time, he enjoyed Music, Family his Grandchildren and circling the dance floor showing off his country western dance moves and did some bull riding part time.

Curtis is survived by his parents Johnny Manuelito and Jennie Manuelito, his siblings Elvera Manuelito, Travis Manuelito, Charlene Manuelito, Otis Manuelito, and Manuela Manuelito Renteria, his beloved daughters Celeste Manuelito, Mariah Manuelito, and Kayla Manuelito, and his beloved grandchildren Jeremiah Padilla, Adam Vicenti, Jamal Vicenti and Mason Curtis Chischilly.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Joe Manuelito and Annie Wero and maternal grandfather and grandmother, John Jesuse and Hannah Garcia.

Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Manuelito, Otis Manuelito, Chase LeClair, and Manuel Renteria.
