Dale Rice

Dale L. Rice, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and best friend passed peacefully in his home on August 3, 2018 with his wife, Madgie, and many close friends by his side.

Many years ago Dale loved to float down the Rio Grande River in his six wheeler on weekends and always had a passion for living life to its fullest.  He had a little Daihatsu pick up where he drove around with his giraffes and was the talk of the town.  He was an avid hobbyist in Old Car Shows and loved to build and fly Radio Controlled Airplanes and belonged to the Flying Club at Maloof Airfield where he made many lifelong friends.

Dale spent his life making friends along the way with his career in Electronic Sales and later on as a car salesman of extraordinary talent.  He knew all of his customers by name as well as their family stories.  He loved his kitties and grilling chicken which was his specialty as well as steaks and pork chops while surrounded by close friends.  He also loved to write poems about life and all of his experiences. Dale was father to 7 children (Randy, Colleen, Peggy, Vicki, Jimmy, Jeri and Amy); 4 stepdaughters (Lisa, Tracy, Kelly and Tracy); 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years (Madgie) his twin brother (Dave and wife Carol) and sister (Shirley). Memorial is to be held at Maloof Airfield on September 1, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
