Damian Jude Torres

Mr. Damian “Uncle D” Jude Torres died unexpectedly in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 5th, 2022 at the age of 53.

 

Damian is survived by his mother Lorraine Torres of Gallup, NM, his wife Amanda Torres of Albuquerque, NM, his daughter Angela of Albuquerque, NM, his son Frankie of Glendale, Arizona, his daughter Nicole of Albuquerque, NM, his son Xavier of Albuquerque, NM, his son Francisco of Albuquerque, NM, his son Davy of Albuquerque, NM, his sister Geraldine and brother in law Nick Sandoval of Albuquerque, NM, his brother Paul Torres of Rio Rancho, NM, his sister Veronica and brother in law Brian Anaya of Rio Rancho, NM, his brother John and sister in law Mendy Torres of Granbury, Texas, his brother Joseph Torres of Albuquerque, NM, and he is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and by his loving furry friend Daisy. Damian is preceded in death by his father Frank B. Torres and granddaughter Aubrianna F. Torres.

 

Damian was born on June 22nd, 1968 to Lorraine (Jaramillo) Torres and Frank Torres in Albuquerque, NM. He attended Albuquerque High School and graduated in 1986. Damian married Ms. Amanda M. Hileman in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on January 5th, 2008; they were married for 14 years.

 

Damian was employed by The City of Albuquerque’s Solid Waste Department for over 10 years and was a union member for that same amount of time. Damian’s love was unconditional, it was felt by his friends and family for the total of his 53 years. Interests of Damian’s included spending time with his family, going outdoors, fishing, and hiking. Damian also had a love and special knowledge of all music, if you played him song, he could probably tell you the title, who it was written by and what year it was written. His favorite song was “Hotel California” by The Eagles. Damian absolutely loved getting his family together, his nieces and nephews meant the world to him. Damian maintained an active membership with St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located on 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124.

 

Damian had the most loving heart. He loved to laugh and joke. His presence made everyone feel loved and welcomed. Damian’s family meant everything to him and his willpower to provide the best for his family was incredible. Damian was the life of the party and there was never a dull moment when he was around. Boy O’ Boy did he love to tease!

 

One of Damian’s favorite sayings was “We Got This!”
