Donald Lee Wadleigh

Donald Lee Wadleigh passed away quietly on July 4, 2019. Don was born in Denver, Colorado on December 22, 1923. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Wadleigh; mother, Ruth (Talnelm) Wadleigh; son Michael; and daughter Monica. He is survived by his brothers, Glen and Bob; son Mark; grandson Dylan; daughter-in-law Cindy-Lu Oxley; sister-in-law Carolyn Trueba and her children, Ken Trueba, Cyndi Nelson and their families; brother-in-law Joe Trueba, his wife Bea Trueba, and their family.

Don loved flying and joined the Army Air Corp and was a glider pilot instructor during WWII. He then went to college and became the manager of the Gallup Airport. This is where he met the love of his life Mary Jane. They then moved to Albuquerque and Don worked for the FAA as an air traffic controller. After retiring from the FAA, Don worked for H&R Block doing taxes. Don was always willing to help others and one of the joys of his life was his grandson Dylan. Don always had a positive outlook on life and a smile on his face.

A Mass Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112 under the direction of Reverend Thomas Kayammakal. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Donald's honor to the organization of your choice.
