Douglas Richard Morgan Sr, 75, a resident of Rio Rancho, N.M. Since 1986, formerly of the Pittsburgh area, passed away Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019.

Doug was born November 18th, 1943, a son of William and Dorothy Morgan in Rochester, PA. He worked at J&L Steel until 1985 and then worked at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, NM from 1986 until his retirement. He was a member of Sagebrush Church in Albuquerque, NM.

Doug was preceded in death by his wife Carol. Doug remarried Lynne Guran Morgan later in life who also preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his brother Bill and his sister Marion.

Surviving are his two sons, Douglas of Albuquerque and Keith (with wife Roena) of Los Alamos. Doug is also survived by his three grandchildren, Hannah, Silas and Maggie who he adored and loved to spend time with.

Doug always had a smile on his face and a joke to share. He loved the Lord and treasured the time he spent at Sagebrush Church. After his faith and family Doug loved ballooning, he had not missed the Balloon Fiesta since his coming to New Mexico in 1986.

Services for Doug will be held at Daniel’s Funeral Home, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124.   A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 and the service will begin at 2:00 pm.
