Ellen Busch

Age 89, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 07, 2022.

Mrs. Busch is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Busch; her mother, Ethel Russell; and her daughter-in-law, Rhen Busch.

Ellen was born in Texas but she moved around quite a bit as a child and met her future husband in Springer, NM. Ellen married Raymond in 1949. His job with the State of NM caused them to move to various New Mexico towns every few years. Ellen was a stay-at-home wife and mother of two. She enjoyed participating in church activities as well as other events with her children. Although Ellen had a great love of New Mexico, she always recalled her home state of Texas with pride.

Ellen enjoyed RV’ing and lake activities early in life. She was also extremely fond of her pet dogs and had quite a few throughout the years. In more recent times, she passed many hours as an avid reader and crossword puzzle worker!

She is survived by her son, Daryl Busch and wife, Connie; her daughter, Terie and husband, Glenn; grandchildren, Stephanie Hofacket and husband, Brandon; Christopher Walters; Stewart Busch and wife, Eryn; and Patrick Walters; as well as great-grandchildren, Wren and Ender Hofacket and Abbey Busch.

Ellen will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
