Gilbert Torres Sr, age 80, a lifelong resident of Magdalena N.M, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2020. He was born on September 2, 1940 to Margarito & Sofia Torres in Magdalena N.M. Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents;  first wife, Clara (Romero) Torres;  five brothers; Ernest Torres, Thomas Torres & wife Eufrasia, Diego Torres & wife Betty, Jose Torres & wife Maria & Luis Torres; and his two grandchildren Gilbert John & Tina Valenzuela. He is survived by his five children; daughters Lori Gonzales & Husband Johnny, Ernestina Valenzuela & partner Nestor Martinez, Rosanna Sisneros & husband Brian, Keanna Torres; his son; Gilbert Torres Jr & partner Myriah Vigil. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his sister in law; Vivian Torres & many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Gilbert was a loving person with a heart of gold who always had a smile on his face. He was always so full of life. He joked around a lot and made people laugh and smile. He was always ready to lend an ear to anyone who needed to talk. He enjoyed being in the mountains, hunting and hauling wood. He also found joy in fixing chainsaws. He loved being around his family and friends. Everyone who knew him and visited with him brought so much happiness to his life. He will be missed dearly. We will forever cherish our memories with him.
