Gregory Dale Rule

February 3, 1958 — October 4, 2020

Gregory Dale Rule of Albuquerque, New Mexico went to rest on Sunday, October 4, 2020 comfortably surrounded by family, after a two-year fight against stage 4 colon cancer.

Greg was born on February 3, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Coming from a military family, he was raised in numerous places from Tucumcari to Turkey. He graduated from Tucumcari High School in the class of 1976.

He enjoyed numerous things including muscle cars and motorcycles, driving for UPS for 39 years, and fighting for his colleagues as Teamsters Local 492 Shop Steward for most of his career. Greg never met a stranger, rather finding friends everywhere he went. His smile could light up a room and he maintained his great sense of humor even up to his final days. While he had many passions, Greg often stated that his greatest accomplishments in life were his children.

Greg is survived by his loving girlfriend, Heather Kirschling of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Shorie Henderson and husband Todd and their children Skye and TJ of Sweetwater, TX; three sons, Tyal Rule and wife LaBritta and their children Audrey, Bryson, and Cayden of Rochester, MN; Loran Rule and wife Tiffany and their children Jayden and Evan of Sweetwater, TX; and Ethan Rule of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Brenda Rule-Osburn and husband John and their children Ashley and Alanna of Albuquerque, NM; and Linda Liles and husband Wayne and their children Landon and Adrienne of Phoenix, AZ; four great-grandchildren, aunts, uncle, several cousins and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Jack and Lynelle Rule, and son, Evan Preston Rule.
