Izilia U. Benavides

Izilia U. Benavides, age 93, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020. She was born in Blanco, NM on October 21, 1926, to Casimiro and Teresa Saiz.

Izilia was a strong Christian and put her confidence in her Savior, Jesus Christ.  She sang in the choir at church and her Bible verse was Romans 8: 38-39.  She was on a bowling league and loved to crochet, walk, dance and garden in her spare time.

She is preceded in death by her parents Casimiro and Teresa Saiz; husband, Remigio Benavides; son Carl Benavides; daughter-in-law Teresa Benavides; and 16 siblings.

Izilia is survived by son, Keith (Vera) Benavides of Albuquerque, NM; daughter Janelle (Brian) McGill of Silver City, NM; grandchildren: Adrienne (Jenson) Battke, Jonathan Benavides and fiancée Josie, Shawn Benavides, Ryan (Samantha) Benavides, Jacob McGill, Joshua McGill, Kylie Benavides and Jaime Benavides.

A Memorial Service will be held on February 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE in Albuquerque.  A Reception will follow the service in the Sun Room.
