James Richard Waltrip

Rick Waltrip would say he ‘got promoted’ to heaven July 12, 2021. He was a man of faith having been saved as a child and demonstrated his Christian beliefs in his daily walk. His kindness & friendly presence is already missed & remembered by neighbors, family & friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie & Lorene (Wagster) Waltrip of Missouri and his older brother Lee Waltrip of Pensacola, Fl.

Rick leaves behind his wife Shelia Silver Waltrip of Albuquerque. His brothers Steve & Jerry Waltrip reside in Pensacola, Fl and his sister Charlene Kennedy in Crystal City, Missouri. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family & friends will miss him.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 3:00 p.m., New Heights Baptist Church 533 Iliff Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. The Memorial Service will also be lived stream at www.newheightsabq.org

Additional Remembrance gatherings will be announced by family members.

In lieu of flowers, Rick would encourage you to support Missionaries spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
