VALENCIA- Jesse “Jesus” Valencia, 69, born September 27, 1940 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 in Albuquerque. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emma Valdez and Emilio Valencia. Jesus is survived by his brothers, Frank, Augustine and wife Anna Mae, Daniel and wife Laurie, Laurence and wife Marie and Harold Valencia; sisters, Gloria M. Valencia, Sue Shively, and Isabel Griego; and his godson, Jesus Miera. He is also survived by numerous nieces; nephews; great and great-great nephews and nieces and many cousins and friends. Jesus was a very intelligent man and his accomplishments were many. He earned an Associate’s degree from Merritt College in Oakland, California; a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico and a Master’s degree in library science from the University of Washington in Seattle. Family and friends are invited to join his brothers and sisters to share their memories of him at a celebration of Jesus’ life. Food will be served.
