JoAnn Manley

September 7, 1932 — May 31, 2021

JoAnn Manley was born in Las Vegas, NM on September 7, 1932 to Lorraine Martinez (Sapp) and Prudencio Martinez. She attended Albuquerque High school and was married on August 11, 1949 to Joseph K Manley. They remained married for 58 years. She is survived by two daughters Diane and Evelyn and a son Allen, eight grandchildren, 8.5 great grand-children, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

JoAnn was energetic, always on the go, doing things to help others. Visiting her sister and brothers and raising her children. She baked cakes and cookies every day when we were children, and continued baking for family and friends until she was no longer able. She was fun, witty and known for colorful clothes and her eclectic collection of hats. Her favorite past time was going to the Senior Centers, bringing dozens of cookies, where she was crowned the “Cookie Monster”. Her laughter and spunk will be missed by all who knew her. We love you mom, and you will be forever in our thoughts and our hearts.
