John Richard Rasco

John Richard Rasco beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed from this world into the presence of our Lord and Savior on Monday, July 20, 2020. 

Johnny was born on October 5, 1944 in Dilia, NM to Dick H. Rasco and Amada Alarid Rasco. He married Andrea Aragon Rasco and they were parents to three children and grandparents to 7 grandchildren. Johnny graduated from Santa Rosa High School and built a career as a Master Technician in Diesel Mechanics. His career was at the Truck Stops of America in Santa Rosa for over 28 years. He was a dedicated and knowledgeable employee and rarely missed a day of work. He was always early and took pride in his work and tools. He made many friends and has shared many stories of his time with the TA.  

He was preceded in death by his parents Dick & Amada Rasco, his sister Terry Rasco Barron, and his beloved son Johnathan Jason Rasco.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 48 years Andrea Rasco; his daughters: Brenda Rasco Velasquez and husband Charlie Velasquez, Janice Rasco and spouse James Romero and daughter-in-law Lori Trujillo Rasco. Grandchildren: Brandon and Danielle Velasquez; Jaylynn and Marcus Jay Rasco; Mia, Brielle, and Elijah Romero. Sister Lorraine Inda Cook, many sisters and brothers in-law, nephews, nieces, godsons, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and a rosary will be said beginning at 6:00 pm at Daniel’s Funeral Home located at 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, NM. Due to the global pandemic, masks will be required and all CDC guidelines on social distancing will be observed.
