Katherine Grace Arnold

On this date of August 8, 2020, Katherine Grace Arnold passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Born in Senoia, Georgia on May 17, 1929, Katherine is the last of 14 children born to John Henry and Georgia Ann Milon.  Katherine married Clavice Gordon Arnold from Fayetteville, Georgia.  They presided in Youngstown, Ohio where they raised 7 children.  Clavice Gordon preceded her in death at the early age of 64.
Katherine worked outside of the home as a domestic for years and then retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital as an employee for environmental services.  Katherine, in her retirement years, assisted in the care of the elderly at the retirement home called Singing Arrow Manor in Albuquerque.
As a loving mother, she passed on to her children the motto, "Where there is a will, there is a way."  She also included the Golden Rule.  One of her sons said he always appreciated the breakfasts before school and the good care he was given.
Katherine was also preceded in death by two of her sons, Paul Sidney Arnold at the age of 26 and Johnny Arnold at the age of 62; and one grandson, Nathaniel Bryant Freeman at 26.
Katherine is survived by her caregivers and surviving children: son, Clavice Gordon and wife Susan Arnold; daughter, Sylvia Arnold; son, Douglas Arnold; son, James Frederic and wife Sandra Arnold; and youngest daughter, Cynthia Babette Arnold.
Her surviving grandchildren are: Sicily Teresa and husband Rodney Brown, Brandi Lorai Freeman, Catherine Thorton, Amelia Kyla Arnold, Derrick John Arnold, Stephanie Arnold, Angelisa Davidson, Nurul Khalil Islam and Ashley Sidney Arnold.
Katherine will be missed by nine great-grandchildren as well as Martha Arnold and her children residing in Youngstown, Ohio.
May Katherine Grace rest in peace as she was blessed with a well-traveled and long journey.
