Kathryn Golden

April 12, 1950 — June 30, 2020

Kathryn Golden was a wonderful lady. She had a big heart, was always quick to laugh, made friends easily, and was always fun to be around. She was an artist and studied architectural design at UCLA. She was a great cook, and she wrote a cookbook of family recipes for family and friends to enjoy. One of her specialties was cakes. She loved to make cakes for any occasion, and the cakes came in all shapes and sizes, from traditional to rabbits, crocodiles, and even a volcano. Kathryn also loved to throw parties. There were some that were so memorable that people would rave about them many years later. She was always ready for a good adventure too. In 1986/1987 she lived in East Africa with her family and went on safaris as much as she could. She later wrote a book for her family titled “Goodnight Bedtime Letters from Africa”. She also went on a driving trip with her family to Costa Rica totaling 11,000 miles roundtrip. Kathryn was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a wonderful soul. She was born in Anaheim, California on April 12, 1950 and passed away in Albuquerque on June 30, 2020. She is survived by her husband Bruce Golden, her sisters Perry Colopinto and Betsy Cooney, her daughter Emily Latting and her son Joe Golden, her four grandchildren Esten, Liam, Lily and Parker, and her son-in-law Mike Latting and daughter-in-law Julia Golden. Kathryn will be dearly missed.
