Kelton B. Wood

It is with great sadness that the family of Kelton Bryce Wood announces his passing after a brief illness on July 10, 2018, at the age of 74 years. Kelton will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon of 35 years and children, Richard Wood, Stacie and Steve McHattie, John and Jessica Wood, David and Francine Holliday, and Shelly and Ben Pino. He will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, James, Theresa, Connor and Sarah; his sister, Twila Wood from Manassa, Colorado. 

Kelton is predeceased by his mother, Melva Layton Wood and (Dad) Uncle Ferron Layton both of Manassa, Colorado and son, Kelly J. Wood of Albuquerque.

Kelton was born in Albuquerque, NM on November 11, 1943 to Homer Wood and Melva Layton Wood. He was raised in Manassa and returned to Albuquerque in his early twenties. Kelton worked in management in Retail Grocery most of his life, at Skaggs Alpha Beta, John Brooks Supermarts and Walmart, retiring in 2008. When he was able Kelton and his wife spent a lot of time traveling.

A Funeral Service in memory of Kelton will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 at Daniels Family Funeral Service - Southern Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM, with Bishop Frank Hicks officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be immediately following the service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m.
