Lloyd Lujan

November 27, 1953 — April 14, 2021

On April 14, 2021, Lloyd Thomas Lujan, loving husband to his beloved wife Kathleen of 20 years, adoring father to Erin, Joey (Laura), Joleen (John), and Melissa (James), PV Ebell, Eddie Ebell, Mary Alice Ebell, proud grandpa to Anastasia, Alison, Nolan, Anthony Bones), Tyler (Bear), Thomas (BG), Tiaynna (Sox), Mathew (Rascal), Chloe, Preston (Shotgun), Tristan, and Mary Alice; went home to our heavenly father. Lloyd, also called Oso, was born November 27th in Durango, Colorado to Molly Lujan who still resides in Durango. He had a close relationship to his family and friends that he called family. Lloyd was a mountain man and a master houndsman with a deep love for his dogs, hunting, and the outdoors. He was respected by hunters coast to coast. Lloyd was a butcher by trade. While working at Safeway in the meat department for over 30 years he knew many of his customers by name. Oso always had a great joke to tell. Everyone knew he walked 14 miles uphill both ways in the snow to school wearing a potato sack and boxes for shoes. He had the wisest words of wisdom, guidance, and advice for everyone. He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Gene and Paul: his grandma Lupe and Grandpa Manuel and many other family members and friends. He is survived by his recently reunited sister, Marla whom he was so blessed and grateful to have found after so many years! Lloyd had many stories to tell and anyone who met him had a story of who he was in their lives. Ramon, who was like a son to him posted “you will be there at every tree.” He would want us all to love each other and keep in touch. Relationships were so important to him. Our dad will truly be missed. He raised us to be strong, independent, and would not want us to break, but remember his words, “Lookout for number one, but don’t step in number two.”  There are current;y no services scheduled for Lloyd.
