Russell, Lucy Theresa

 

Lucy Theresa Russell, 74, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021.

 

Born on April 10, 1946 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Vicente Montoya and Lucy Montoya.

 

Lucy is survived by her daughter Terrie Dawn Perez and husband Richard; grandchildren: Gabriel, Gloria, Christian and Andrew; great-grandchildren: Liam and Levi; her siblings Lorraine, Mary Grace, Jerry, Marie and Rosie.

 

Lucy was a beautiful, kind, loving and compassionate Christian woman. She loved the Lord and enjoyed studying the bible and sharing the gospel. Lucy lived most of her life in Texas where she raised her daughter, but nothing could stop her from returning to New Mexico where she was born and raised. She appreciated spending time with her family and friends and her companion in life Roman Salazar.

 

A few of her hobbies included: listening to music, dancing, shopping and talking on the phone.   

 

Ecclesiastes 3:1-5    To everything there is a season, a time for every matter under the heaven, a time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to keep and a time to cast away.

 

Although Lucy’s death was sudden, we would like her to be remembered as the loving person she was and celebrate her life.

 

Due to COVID-19 participation is limited. A Visitation will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12: p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
