Michael Joseph Reut passed away at his home on April 28, 2022 at the age of 67.
Michael is survived by his wife of 41 years, Celeste Reut of Albuquerque, NM; son James Michael and daughter Katherine Pulliam along with her husband Robbie Pulliam and his grandchildren Robbie and Audrey all of Albuquerque. Michael has two surviving siblings; Mary Ellen Overman and late husband Donnie of Pennsylvania and Pam Guzman along with her husband Fred of El Paso, Texas. Michael has many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son Brian and his parents Michael and Mary Reut.
He was born October 1, 1954 in El Paso, Texas. He is a graduate of Isleta High School in El Paso, Texas class of 1972. He met his wife of 41 years while working at Sysco Foods in El Paso. They moved to Albuquerque in November of 1982 with their first born son. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 492 for 35 years and a member of the Sysco Foods National Hall of Fame. Michael was in the Boy Scouts for many years and also started playing golf at a very early age. You would see him on the golf course every chance he got. He got his love of golf from his father, and that is where a lot of his dates were with his future wife. He would get the ball on the green and she got to putt it in, most times. He was a member of the Sun Country Golf Association and the Vista Hills Country Club. Until recently he would use the putting green in his backyard along with his grandchildren. He was a champion FarmVille player, Fox News enthusiast and huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM, on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 4:00 pm.
Celeste and her children James and Katherine would like to sincerely thank everyone for all the love and support they have received during this time.
