Regina C. Clifford

June 15, 1965 — July 1, 2020

Regina Clifford passed away on July 1, 2020 after her long battle with Huntington’s disease. She was 55.  Born June 15, 1965 in Emporia Kansas, Regina spent her childhood in Arizona and Colorado, graduating from Fairview High School in Boulder, CO.  Regina is survived by her dad Stan Roeske, sisters Annie Strohl (William), of Albuquerque and Christy Morelos (Jerry) of Edgewood, aunt Gwen Sawyer (George Bakula) of Albuquerque, uncle Robert Pankaskie (JoAnn) of Washington, favorite nephew George Strohl of Albuquerque, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She was predeceased by her mother, Carol Anne (Sawyer) Roeske and her father, Anthony Pankaskie.

Regina was a beautiful dancer who, as part owner in a Fort Collins, CO dance studio, was able to share her passion by teaching.  She was involved with many dance events including the New Mexico Dance Fiesta and the Multiple Sclerosis fundraiser Dance Because You Can.  Besides dancing her passions were horses, movies, candy, and everything Eeyore.

While caring for her father, who had Huntington’s, Regina organized a Huntington’s support group and cared for him until his death.  After his passing Regina moved to Albuquerque to be with her family and found community as a member of the Monterrey Baptist church.  Until her terrible disease robbed her of her kind and generous personality, she shared everything she had with friends.  She was a fighter until the end and donated her brain after death to Huntington Disease research.  Her final act of kindness.

The family wish to thank North Ridge Special Care Center and Hospice de La Luz for their excellent care during Regina’s last year.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
