Ronald Patrick Polnaszek

Ronald Patrick Polnaszek, born September 2, 1960 in Albuquerque, NM, graduated from Del Norte HS in 1978.  He died July 5, 2019 of a prolonged illness.

Ron was preceded in death by his grandparents Daniel and Margaret Polnaszek, uncle John Polnaszek, step-mother Paula Polnaszek, and step-father Clarence "Bud" Mumme.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Polnaszek, her daughter Michele Polley, and granddaughter Szmone Polley; his father Robert Polnaszek; mother Adelina Mumme; uncle Bill Polnaszek and wife Nancy Polnaszek; sister Ann M. Hartz and husband Carl Hartz; sister Debbie McCabe and husband Kevin McCabe; nephew Kevin Anthony McCabe and wife Gillyan McCabe; nephew Patrick J. McCabe and his fiance Celina Garcia; and niece Caitlin S. McCabe.

Ron was an Aggregate Salesman for several years but was a welder by trade and soon became interested in metal sculpting.  He later took up woodworking as well.  Ron was passionate about his Harley and at one time took several trips to Laughlin, NV.

Ron was a gentle soul, who had a big heart, never met a stranger and always remembered those less fortunate.

In all Ron's years his only regrets were not mastering the Accordion and never having enough Polish jokes.

A Rosary Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl NE, Albuquerque, NM  87108 with a Mass to follow immediately at 11:00 a.m.  Interment service to follow Mass at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM  87113.
