David “Skippy” D. Aughenbaugh passed away on March 30, 2021 in Rio Rancho, NM at the age of 66.

David is survived by his mother, Madeline Aughenbaugh of Rio Rancho, NM; sisters, Linda Colon and Lori Turley-Dyer of Rio Rancho, NM; brother, Mark Aughenbaugh of Rio Rancho, NM; daughters, Heidi Chavez (Nee Aughenbaugh) and Gabrielle Poissant (Nee Aughenbaugh) of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Eric Aughenbaugh of Rio Rancho, NM, Kevin Pitner of Albuquerque, NM, William Aughenbaugh of Albuquerque, NM, and Haven “Luke” Aughenbaugh of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Ricky, Shae’quon, Monique, Richard, Rachel, Ralph, Latasha, Naisy, Ronny, Estevan, Rebecca, Darion, Angel, Chris Jr., James, Miranda, Andrew and John; great-grandchildren, Julian. He is preceded in death by his father, Dustin Aughenbaugh.

David was born on October 22, 1953 in California to Dustin and Madeline Aughenbaugh. He graduated from Miramonte High School in 1971. He joined the United States Army for 4 years. David was a retired Army Veteran who loved building and fixing computers.

I knew David briefly as he provided support for Kristal.  He gave of his time and his expertise to help her during her time of need.  During Covid he was one of only 2 people she trusted to enter her home.  He is missed.  Thank you David for your giving nature.
